First fruits is the practice of giving the very first portion of what you receive — before you've counted what's left, before expenses are covered, before you've done the math on what you can afford. For I Talk With God, that meant committing our first $1,000 before we earned a dollar.

What are the three types of tithing?

First Fruits — give first, before the math. The Traditional Tithe — 10% of what you earn. The Tithe of Time — 10% of the time you have. I Talk With God operates from the traditional tithe: 10% of our profits go directly to the Prayer Fulfillment Initiative.

Why does I Talk With God give 10% of profits, not revenue?

Because giving from revenue before expenses would be dishonest about how business actually works. Profit is what remains after we've paid what we owe to deliver the product. That's what we give from. When the business grows, the giving grows with it.
